ALBANY SINGERS - ONWARDS AND UPWARDS

Well, what a great season that was !!! The Gilbert and Sullivan concert at St Georges in Takapuna was attended by 230 people. This certainly justified us moving the show from our usual Holy Cross in Albany. Our second G&S concert was at our usual venue and was almost at capacity. This genre was very different for us and necessitated us wear costumes and having a great deal of physical movement and interaction within the choir. The choir learnt a great deal from the experience and are keen to put it to good use.

Apart from concerts in Hamilton in September and then another in Auckland in October, we are starting to turn our attention toward our Christmas shows.

We are also starting to plan a choir trip to Brisbane in 2012. We are expecting to hold several concerts while over there to keep individual choir member costs to a minimum. It is certainly not too late to join us if you would like to
